Frontend & React
Hire senior React and frontend developers in the US & Canada
Interfaces that load fast, feel considered and hold up as the product grows.

A frontend developer shapes what your customers actually experience. The strongest ones care about performance, accessibility and clear component design as much as they care about pixels, and they can talk to designers and backend engineers in the same meeting.
Our React and frontend engineers are senior hires who have shipped production applications used by real people. They are based in the US or Canada and ready to work inside your existing codebase and review process.
What they typically own
- Building and refactoring component libraries and design systems
- Improving Core Web Vitals, bundle size and rendering performance
- Migrating to Next.js, the App Router or TypeScript without stalling releases
- Accessibility fixes and testing, from keyboard support to screen-reader behaviour
- Wiring interfaces to REST and GraphQL APIs cleanly and resiliently
How we vet
What we look for in frontend & react engineers
On top of our standard assessment (system design, coding and references), we test the things that matter most for this role.
Component and state design
We look at how they structure a non-trivial interface and where they put state, not whether they remember a hook's signature.
Performance judgement
Candidates diagnose a slow page and explain the trade-offs behind each fix they would try.
Working with design and backend
References confirm they communicate well across the boundaries where frontend projects usually stall.

Questions
Before you hire
Can your developers work in an existing React codebase?
Yes. Most placements join an established codebase, learn its conventions quickly and follow your review and release practices.
Do you have Vue or Angular developers as well?
We place Vue engineers regularly. For other frameworks, tell us what you use at intake and we'll say honestly whether we can match well.
Can I hire a frontend developer part-time?
Yes. Around 20 hours a week is a common arrangement for design-system work or a focused performance sprint.
